This policy explains what personal information Blue Pacific Drywall Ltd. collects through this website, why we collect it and what we do with it. We are a drywall and interior finishing contractor based in Surrey, British Columbia, and we handle personal information in line with British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).

Questions and requests about your personal information can be sent to the same email address.
What we collect
Contact form. Your name, email address, phone number and message.
Quote request form. Your name, email address, company name, phone number, the service you need and your message. If you upload drawings or plans, or paste links to them, we keep the files and links with your request.
Quote assistant chat. Your answers to the chat's questions: the services you need, the project location, the rough size and timeline, whether you have drawings, and your name, phone number and email address. If you upload a PDF of your drawings, we keep that file.
Technical information. When you send a form, our form software saves the IP address and browser details that came with it. Our security software checks visits to the website for attacks and keeps a record of the IP address and browser details of blocked requests and login attempts. Google Analytics collects general information about visits, such as the pages viewed, the type of device and browser, and the approximate location based on IP address.
We do not ask for payment details, government ID numbers or other sensitive information through this website.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry, prepare a quote and arrange site visits.
- To keep a record of enquiries and the work we discuss with you.
- To keep the website secure and filter out spam.
- To understand how people use the website so we can improve it.
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not add it to marketing lists.
Where it is kept
Form entries and quote assistant enquiries are saved in our website's database, and files you upload are stored on our web server. Our website and our office email are hosted by Hostinger. A copy of each enquiry is emailed to our office inbox and to a company Gmail account, which Google hosts.
Only Blue Pacific Drywall staff and the people who maintain the website for us can access these records. We keep them for as long as we need them to respond to you, carry out any work and meet our business and legal record-keeping obligations. After that, we delete them.
Services from other companies
Some parts of this website are provided by other companies. When you use those parts, your browser connects to them and they receive information such as your IP address:
- Google reCAPTCHA checks visits and form submissions for spam.
- Google Analytics measures website visits.
- Google Fonts supplies the website's typefaces.
- Google reviews: the reviews on our pages come from our Google Business Profile, and the reviewers' profile photos load from Google.
- WPForms, our form software, looks up your approximate country from your IP address so the phone number field shows the right format.
- OpenStreetMap provides the maps of our offices.
- WhatsApp is used only if you click a WhatsApp button. Google Maps, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn are used only if you follow a link to them.
These companies handle information under their own privacy policies. Some of them, including Google, store and process data outside Canada, mainly in the United States, where it is subject to the laws of that country.
Cookies
Google Analytics and Google reCAPTCHA use cookies and similar technology. Our form software also sets a cookie with a random ID on pages that have a form. Apart from that, the website only sets cookies for people who log in to manage it.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The website works without them, but blocking Google reCAPTCHA can stop our forms from sending. If that happens, please call or email us instead.
Keeping it safe
We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold, including limiting who can access it, using security software and keeping the website software up to date. No website or email system is completely secure, so please do not send us passwords or financial details through the website.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we no longer need it. You can also withdraw your consent to us contacting you. To do any of these, email info@bluepacificdrywallbc.com or call (604) 828-1111. We may need to confirm who you are before we act on a request.
If you are not satisfied with how we handle your request, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
